Welcome! is a short, easy to use course book for adult absolute beginners who want to learn English. Designed to help learners communicate in a variety of everyday situations, it gives listening and speaking the greatest emphasis. Along three units, learners will use the language in formal and informal contexts using mini-conversations from introducing themselves and asking about family members to describing rooms in a house and places in the city. It also includes: • A Pronunciation section that focuses on the sounds that represent sorne difficulty for Spanish speakers. • Study skills to raise awareness of the language learning process• A Cultural Corner that contains special rules of speech both in British and American English.  • A color-coded Language in Context section to identify structures and associate them to their use. • A Language Alert section to help students pay attention to some basic subtleties of the English language.
